She Survived the Titanic. Could She Survive the Memory?

In 1914, two years after surviving the Titanic, Nora Osterly returns to sea aboard the Olympic—its hauntingly identical sister ship. She never wanted to cross the Atlantic again, but must face her greatest fear if she is to save the family business.

As the ship carries her toward Europe, painful memories she has fought to keep down come roaring back, forcing Nora to confront not only the trauma of that terrible night, but the grief she still carries for the father she lost. When the Sea Was Still is a story of a woman forced to face the past she thought she’d buried—and finding the courage to take the first fragile steps forward.

Hi, I'm Amy

I’m an author and traveler who writes both nonfiction and historical fiction about reinvention, resilience, and choosing a life that feels like your own.

My second book is a Titanic-inspired historical novel set in Europe, weaving together survival, legacy, and hope, scheduled to be released later this year. It’s a story for anyone who has ever wondered what it really means to begin again.
