For anyone who feels stuck but is afraid to make a change.

Do you spend Sunday evenings dreading the work week?

Have you been telling yourself "it's not that bad" for too long?

Do you want something better, but feel unsure how to take the next step?

You Don’t Have to Stay explores why walking away can feel so difficult. It invites you to listen to what your unhappiness is trying to tell you, and offers new ways of seeing what’s possible.

You already know something has to change. This book will help you believe it’s actually possible.

Why I Wrote This Book

I spent eleven years in a fulfilling career, building a travel business I loved. Then the pandemic closed that chapter and I went back to the corporate world looking for stability. Instead, I found myself losing my identity one compromise at a time until I ended up on a flight home from Paris crying at the prospect of returning to work the next day. That was the moment I knew that something had to change, and it was the birth of this book.

Even after that moment on the plane, I didn’t leave right away. I desperately wanted to quit, but I didn't know how. To be honest, I was afraid. Then the decision was made for me. I was laid off unexpectedly — a forced blessing that spurred me on to completing this book. It's the book that I wish I'd had.  I wrote it to help others who are where I was: desperate for change, unsure how to get there, and feeling trapped in work that no longer fits.

Absolutely a great read.
And not only for people unhappy in their current position.
Thank you Amy for sharing your story and, I would bet, likely helping many others who struggle with similar situations.
